I believe in a counseling relationship that offers a safe atmosphere for listening,  honesty, trust and respect. It is within this setting that you are truly free to reflect,  explore and heal.
I understand every person is uniquely individual with distinct needs. I value many  therapeutic approaches and draw from an eclectic theoretical base, meaning I may use one or more therapeutic styles in our time together. I do not believe therapy is a "one-size-fits-all" process.
I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Social Science, and a Master's Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. Specialty areas of training and experience include: Human Growth and Development, Personality and Counseling, Human Sexuality, Social & Cultural Foundations, Substance Abuse, Psychopathology, Couples Therapy, Family Therapy, and Relationship Assessment. Specialized coursework includes Play Therapy, Sandtray Therapy, Shame and Grace, and Sexual Abuse. I am trained in Relationship Assessment and as a Prepare/Enrich Facilitator.
I am registered with the Oregon Board of Licensed Professional Counselors and Therapists and am currently pursuing licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC).
